Addendum

Though the following scholarships are initially awarded for the student's first year, eligibility to continue under the scholarship will be reviewed annually, based on the student's academic performance.

Wally Beebe Scholarship

This scholarship is available to young men and ladies who were reached through the bus ministry and do not have the financial support of their parents or guardians. Approved applicants will receive forty percent off their first year's tuition. This scholarship is also available to men and ladies who are graduating from boarding homes or orphanages here or abroad. The scholarship application form must be completed and sent in by the appropriate authorities.

Paul Duckett Scholarship

This scholarship offers a twenty percent discount off the first year's tuition to male or female students enrolling with the purpose of serving the Lord in the area of church music. An applicant must have a recommendation from his or her pastor and church music coordinator.

Beverly Rainey Scholarship

This scholarship offers a twenty percent discount off the first year's tuition to male or female students enrolling with the purpose of serving the Lord in the area of Christian education. To be eligible, a student must earn a minimum ACT composite score of 25 or a minimum composite SAT score of 1140. It may also be awarded to students who were valedictorian or salutatorian of their senior classes, provided there were at least five students in the graduating class.

IBWM Scholarship

This scholarship is for men who believe it is God's will for them to serve on the foreign mission field. The scholarship gives them a twenty percent discount off their first and last semesters as a missions major (four-year program).

Child of Full-time Christian Servant Scholarship

Applicants, male or female, will receive a thirty percent discount off their first year's tuition. Qualification is based on the student's head of household being in full-time Christian ministry.

Presidential Scholarship Program

The Presidential Scholarship is available to any student who is a member of a church that financially supports Texas Baptist College. This scholarship provides a $250 per semester discount for a $50 monthly support amount, and a $500 per semester discount for a $100 monthly support amount.   The scholarship is applied each semester for every student enrolled from a particular church, for a maximum of four years. Students must be members of a supporting church and must have the recommendation of their pastor to be eligible for this program. Pastors interested in making this scholarship available to their students need to contact the Business Office at Texas Baptist College for complete details.

Scholarship for Daughters of Pastors, Missionaries, & Evangelists

This scholarship offers first-time incoming residence hall daughters of full-time pastors, evangelists, and missionaries a $500 per semester scholarship for the four-year duration of her course of study.  

The Jack David Hyles Scholarship

This special scholarship offers one young man that has displayed extraordinary character, a strong desire to serve God in full-time ministry, and a definite need for financial assistance, a $250 per semester scholarship. This scholarship is limited to one young man per year and is based on approval of the Administrative Board. The recipient's eligibility will be reviewed annually based on the same prerequisites included in the initial awarding thereof.

The Mary Elizabeth Gray Scholarship

This special scholarship offers a young lady who has displayed extraordinary character, a strong desire to serve God in full-time ministry, and a definite need for financial assistance, a scholarship including tuition and room and board for one year. All other fees, including application, enrollment, room reservation, transportation, books, etc., are the student's responsibility. This scholarship is limited to one young lady and is based on approval of the Administrative Board.   The recipient's eligibility will be reviewed annually, based on the same prerequisites included in the initial awarding thereof.

Limitations

Scholarships and discounts may not be combined with the exception of the Presidential Scholarship. Scholarships may only be applied when a student is enrolled as a full-time (12 - 18 Hours) student.   Unless otherwise specified, all discounts apply to tuition only.
