"I notice the graduates leave with zeal, determination, as well as knowledge." - Bro. Rijn Abrell, Missionary in Australia

"Yes, I can recommend Texas Baptist College. When a college stands for the King James Bible, Soul-Winning, Baptist distinctives, Separation, and staying on the old paths, I can definitely recommend it."- Dr. Jeff Owens, Pastor

"The best reason is Dr. Bob Gray. Young preacher boys ought to sit under a pastor who has experienced all facets of the ministry and has built a successful church for God". - Bro. Smale, Evangelist

“I have found Texas Baptist College graduates to be tremendously loyal, hard working, and soul conscious 24/7. Besides, why would I recommend a college that could not give back what I want to hire?” - Dr. Tracy Fowler, Pastor

“...the emphasis on soul winning combined with Biblical standards and separation in a time when these positions are fast becoming obsolete in fundamentalism. We have nine former TBC students serving at Woodland Hills Baptist Church.” - Dr. Wiley Bennet, Pastor

Benefits from attending Texas Baptist College

1. An Understanding of the King James Bible
The King James Bible is the very center of everything taught at Texas Baptist College. Every major has an emphasis in biblical studies, with most classes using the Bible as the major resource material. Courses are structured to help students learn how to study and properly interpret the Bible, acquire a good overview of Scripture, as well as receive some detailed exposition of major Bible books. All of this is designed to develop individuals who know what the Bible teaches, understand its principles, and know how to apply its truths to everyday life.

2. An Emphasis on Personal Soul Winning
The Great Commission is the driving force behind everything taught and preached at Texas Baptist College. As a ministry of the Longview Baptist Temple, TBC students have had the opportunity to have a part in a church that has baptized over 10,000 converts in one year. Faculty, staff, and students go soul winning every week with the outreach ministries of Longview Baptist Temple reaching the entire Ark-La-Tex area.

3. An Emphasis on Old-Fashioned Standards and Convictions
Texas Baptist College stands for the old-time religion. We teach and preach separation from the world and do not allow students to indulge in worldly amusements or practices.

4. Christian Ministry Opportunities
As a ministry of Longview Baptist Temple, Texas Baptist College students are provided a wide variety of ministry opportunities. Preaching, Sunday school teaching, rest homes, jail ministries, soul-winning clubs, children’s choirs, and Thursday night soul winning clubs are just a few examples of areas of service offered.

5. Personal Character Development
The educational experience provided by Texas Baptist College is designed to impact both the student’s mind and heart. Living in a residence hall provides an atmosphere that emphasizes godliness, dependence upon the Holy Spirit, and obedience to God’s Word as well as God’s authorities. Spiritual emphasis is evident by the daily chapel services, classroom instruction, dorm devotions, and special conferences. Texas Baptist College offers an atmosphere where the guidance and direction a student needs to have makes a lasting impact on his or her life.

6. Lasting Friendships
Texas Baptist College provides the opportunity to form lasting friendships with others through banquets, special events, and dating activities. We believe that these extra-curricular activities are important in creating a balanced individual.
